KatsuCo is a sleek contemporary Japanese eatery specialising in premium *katsu dishes, located on the ground floor of Toowong's Jephson Hotel.

If the name hasn’t already given it away, this contemporary Japanese restaurant specialises in all things katsu. Made fresh in house, the delish Japanese dish consists of a breaded and deep-fried cut of meat or seafood served in a signature set with katsu sauce, rice, salad and miso soup—is your mouth watering yet?

KatsuCo is a contemporary Japanese restaurant in the heart of Sherwood that specialises in katsu - panko-crumbed, deep fried, premium cuts of meat or seafood - including KatsuCo's signature dishes.

WEEKEND EDITION

It’s unlikely you would simply stumble upon KatsuCo in Southport. Nestled on Nerang Street, it’s the kind of place you travel for. Your effort, however, is rewarded with a katsu experience unlike any other. Even before the doors have opened for the lunch service, you’ll be greeted with a line of people forming out the front – your first indication that something special lies within. KatsuCo delivers an elevated take on contemporary Japanese cuisine, with chef Louis Seo delving deep into his past experience in fine dining establishments and bustling hotel restaurants. As the name implies, katsu is the hero here.

WEEKEND EDITION

A widely beloved katsu specialist made moves to Brisbane’s western suburbs in 2023. KatsuCo, which has already established a foothold in Brisbane’s food scene (and our hearts) with locations in Sherwood, North Lakes and Southport, opened its fourth outpost on in August. Owner and chef Louis Seo snagged a plum 170-sqm space at the base of the Jephson Hotel in Toowong, a mere stone’s throw from Toowong Village. The specialty here is katsu, but not just any kind of katsu. Louis and his team makes the dish with French cooking techniques and ingredients – an approach that elevates the crispy and golden panko-crumbed morsels to its premium pinnacle. Louis is shaking up the formula with his Toowong location. For the first time, KatsuCo Toowong offers breakfast. Expect to see the likes of katsu sandos and omurice (accompanied by katsu, of course) on the morning menu alongside cups of specialty coffee. The lunch and dinner menu will feature all of the usual KatsuCo faves, including the signature tomahawk katsu and cheese katsu sets, as well an assortment of donburi and noodle dishes.
